02 · The Movement

Not just a festival.

Not just a weekend.

Not just another celebration of sneakers, style, and sound.

This is Motion in the low end — a three-day cultural ignition where Black creative power, footwear innovation, community investment, and global imagination move as one.

This is where ideas get traction.

Where culture finds its footing.

Where the next generation steps into the room —

and the industry finally moves with them.

Portland made the sneaker world.

Now the low end moves it.

Momentum Has a Home.

Every movement starts somewhere.

A corner.

A block.

A sound.

A sketch.

A conversation that turns into a career.

A community that refuses to be overlooked.

For generations, Lower Albina has carried the rhythm, resilience, and creative force of Black Portland. This year, that energy moves through the low end — not as a memory, but as a launchpad.

Motion in the low end is a call to gather, build, learn, design, perform, invest, and imagine what becomes possible when culture is not extracted from a neighborhood, but reinvested back into it.

This is not about watching the future arrive.

This is about moving it here together.

03 · Festival Days

Three Days. One Frequency. Infinite Motion.

The K.I.C-OFF Festival is built around three powerful days — each designed to move people from inspiration to access, from access to action, and from action to cultural momentum.

FRI · JULY 31 · KNOWLEDGE DAY

KNOWLEDGE

Learn the language of the industry. Find the door. Then walk through it.

  • Free design workshops.
  • KIC FLIX featuring Scarlett Creative.
  • S.P.A.R.K.
  • with legendary designer Wilson Smith III.
  • For everyone who ever looked at a sneaker and thought: I could build something like that — I just need the chance.

Knowledge Day is that chance.

SAT · AUG 1 · INNOVATION DAY

INNOVATION

Prototype the future. Move from concept to impact.

  • The Sneaker Week Tech Talk and Demo.
  • The Design Combine Contest.
  • The Sustainability Soiree.
  • Smarter materials, cleaner systems, better access, new tools, new careers, new ways to move.

The future of footwear is stepping into the Low End.

SUN · AUG 2 · CULTURE DAY

CULTURE

Feel the rhythm. See the art. Move with the people.

  • Art and activism conversations.
  • Musical performances.
  • The Kicks and Cars Showcase.
  • Because sneakers are memory, status, protest, performance — neighborhood language and personal history made visible.

Come for the kicks. Stay for the community.

04 · The Manifesto

WE MOVE DIFFERENT.

Sneaker culture has always been more than what's on your feet.

  • It is design.
  • It is rebellion.
  • It is function turned into identity.
  • It is technology shaped by rhythm.
  • It is a billion-dollar industry powered by the taste, language, movement, and imagination of Black culture.

But influence without access is not enough.

Sneaker Week PDX exists to open the doors wider — connecting aspiring creatives, designers, builders, storytellers, and entrepreneurs to the people, platforms, and pathways that can change their lives. This year, in partnership with the 1803 Fund, that mission takes physical form inside the low end.

A neighborhood activation.

A creative collision.

A cultural investment.

A visible signal that the next wave of footwear, design, and innovation will not happen around the community.

It will happen with the community.

It will happen in the low end.

It will move from here.

Motion is more than movement.

It is the first sketch before the prototype.

The first step before the opportunity.

The first handshake before the collaboration.

The first beat before the crowd arrives.

Motion is what happens when creative people stop waiting for permission and start building the future in public.

The Low End is not the bottom.

It is the bassline.

It is the deep frequency beneath the culture. The foundation you feel before you understand why you're moving. The place where history, design, music, art, activism, and innovation come together with force.

Motion in the Low End is a celebration of that force.

A festival for

The thinkers.

The builders.

The designers.

The disruptors.

The entrepreneurs.

The collectors.

The community leaders.

The young creatives looking for a way in.

The industry legends ready to reach back.

The brands bold enough to invest where culture begins.

This is where the next step gets made.

05 · The Partnership

A LANDMARK PARTNERSHIP FOR A NEW CREATIVE ERA

Sneaker Week PDX and the 1803 Fund are joining forces to anchor the 2026 K.I.C-OFF Festival at the low end — the 1803 Fund's transformational community destination in Portland's historic Lower Albina District.

Together, this partnership is built to do more than host a festival. It is built to activate space, circulate opportunity, amplify Black creative power, and reconnect Portland's global footwear industry with the community whose culture has shaped its rise.

V.01 · THE ART SHED & ART SHED LOT

The anchor. Where the festival becomes a living map of what investment can feel like when it moves through culture.

V.02 · THE 670 VENUE

The inner circle. Where industry leaders, artists, students, designers, and neighbors meet in one shared destination.

V.03 · THE LOWER ALBINA FOOTPRINT

The open air. The surrounding neighborhood streets that carried the rhythm, resilience, and creative force of Black Portland.

Not top-down.

Not temporary.

Not performative.

Rooted. Visible. Measurable. Alive.

the low end is a collection of community-centered spaces in historic Lower Albina — created to honor Black Portland's legacy while building new pathways for economic mobility, creative expression, and collective ownership.

It is a place for gathering.

A place for making.

A place for learning.

A place for opportunity to stop being abstract and start becoming real.

During SneakerWeek 2026, the low end becomes the center of motion — connecting local entrepreneurs, global brands, industry leaders, artists, students, designers, performers, vendors, and neighbors in one shared destination.

the low end is not a venue.
It is a signal.

A signal that Portland's future must include the people, places, and creative communities that made the city matter in the first place.

06 · The Industry

Portland is home to one of the most powerful footwear ecosystems on the planet — a global center of sneaker design, athletic performance, product innovation, and creative influence.

The market is massive.

The opportunity is real.

The talent is here.

But talent needs access.

SneakerWeek 2026 is designed to close the distance between culture and career — between the young creative with the idea and the industry leader who can help make it real. This is where underrepresented creatives meet the people behind the brands. Where BIPOC vendors become production partners. Where the industry stops talking about diversity from a distance and starts building relationships on the ground.

The next generation does not need inspiration alone.

They need rooms. They need resources. They need visibility. They need motion.

This festival creates it.

07 · Community & Belief

CULTURE SHOULD CREATE WEALTH WHERE CULTURE BEGINS

SneakerWeek 2026 is powered by a commitment to reinvest in Black Portland's creative economy. That means local vendors. BIPOC entrepreneurs. Creative production partners. Artists, designers, builders, chefs, makers, and neighborhood voices helping shape the experience from the inside out.

When the people move, the neighborhood moves.

When the neighborhood moves, the city moves.

When the city moves with intention, the future changes direction.

“Access Changes Everything.”

The culture that drives the footwear industry should also have access to the opportunity inside it.

Herbert BeauclereFounder, Sneaker Week PDX

This is legacy in motion.

This is access in motion.

This is Portland in motion.
